Liv’s Oyster Bar, Owned and operated by Chef John Brescio, has been a staple in Old Saybrook for over 18 years!
In 2014, Liv’s started offering their Connecticut hot buttered lobster rolls at farmers markets across Connecticut. The word spread quickly and the lines grew long to enjoy our perfectly curated rolls. As Connecticut is known to prefer our lobster rolls “the right way” (hot and buttered!) and not as a salad, we commonly use the phrase “no mayo”, which is what has made our Liv's Shack t-shirts a must buy while visiting!
In 2015, John Brescio expanded his talents, opening Liv’s Shack in Harbor One Marina, Old Saybrook. His attention to detail and culinary IQ has already created the Best Hot Buttered Lobster Roll; now he offers you our large menu, created to please everyone. One may come for the best lobster roll, or our fan favorite grilled mahi mahi tacos, while the “land lover” in the group enjoys a juicy burger, fried chicken sandwich or crispy BLT. We offer a kids menu as well as a list of bottled sodas, teas & lemonade. With everyone in mind, our menu ensures your whole party will have an amazing dining experience.
